Sonita escaped forced marriage. Her friends didn’t.
We helped her release a song for them, then invited the world to donate their voices and become the chorus she was missing.
One voice, made impossible to ignore.
The case study
Inspired by Sonita’s memories and by photos of her early student years in Afghanistan and Iran, we recreated a set from that period of her life.
The voices and videos collected through the TikTok filter and the platform were added to the end screen.
The song redirected to a UNICEF fund specially created for Sonita’s cause, bringing education to girls and women in Afghanistan.
